The European Quantum Industry Consortium (QuIC) is delighted to announce the release of our comprehensive White Paper, entitled “A Portrait of the Global Patent Landscape in Quantum Technologies”, marking a significant milestone in our commitment to providing valuable insights and information within the quantum industry.
The paper offers a transparent view of the IP landscape today, including the geographic distribution of IP holders, and offers recommendations to rapidly strengthen Europe’s position in this global landscape. The document has been issued by QuIC Work Group (WG) on Intellectual Property (IP) and Trade which reports on the global IP landscape in quantum technologies. Results stem for an extensive survey of patent applications across the world and cover the three main pillars of quantum technologies: quantum computing, quantum communication and quantum sensing.
